Apples and Plastic Surgery

You may recall I was not a happy bunny after last nights ipod disaster - but hats off to Apple, when I visited the Apple store in Soho and explained my predicament, they allowed me to queue jump the 50 or so people waiting for the "Genius Bar" and plug my system in for the 30 seconds or so it took to finish the update! Phew!! Was nearly forced to purchase an ipod nano (outrageouly sexy) and a video ipod on the way out ... but will sleep on those decisions and maybe purchase later. The video ipod could be a corporate purchase as if we're going to vodcast reels, then we need a test unit ... or five.

What is it with women and plastic surgery, don't they get the fact that when they reach their 70's and 80's they look frankly frankenstein like? I saw more on the bus today than I have in my whole trip so far - maybe they had all come back from a visit to plastic surgery anonymous or something, but I confess it was hard to avoid staring at them ... they were so, like gross! On the plus side there was a gorgeous NYU student on the bus on the way back who spent the journey on her cell phone talking to a friend, and her accent was ... gorgeous!!! And she had a beautiful neck as well ... I'm in heaven :-)
